I can't remember the last time I was so excited for the wkend! And I can't believe what I did.... I turned down the offer of going to Fargo for supper and night and some state-side shopping!! I think Kelly thought I was totally losing it! But I've been so tired and all we do these day is go, go, go! And tomorrow we're helping with a 60th wedding anniversary and then off to Kenora for the weekend so no rest for the weary, except for tomorrow morning! And I definitely plan on sleeping in!! I need to clean up the house some more and take care of my huge pile of dishes (they're all clean, just need to put them away). There's laundry in the wash that needs to go in the dryer and a couple more piles to wash. So ya.... I shouldn't be on the computer. But I am and it's kind of relaxing... lol
Some great news... It's starting to thaw!! I can actually see most of my driveway now! Yesterday while me and Greta and her girls were shopping we seen a goose in the sky and I said, "Well he must have some faith that summer is coming." Katy, the 10 year old said, "Ya, a lot more than me!" Guess it's now just me that gets a little discouraged with the winter.
Wishing you all a Happy Easter!

Dig a Snow Tunnel....
Dig a Snow Tunnel Before I Die....
Accomplished! {actually this is the second one, so I'm really doin' good! :)} It was lots of fun and a lot of work! Definitely was ready for the scrumptious Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins that Wanda had just pulled out of the oven when we came in! Kelly and Nelson went in after we had the tunnel built, but Tamera and I wanted to make a room in there yet so worked on that for awhile. Anyway, wish I would have been able to do all this when I was a kid! It would have been sooo much fun! It's still piles of fun!
Missing a Dear Nurse...
We've been working on the ambulance since Friday night {or Kelly has, I only started on Saturday and lunch}. But we found out that one of the really nice/funny nurses from the Morris Hospital died!! So we spent part of Saturday helping out at the hospital. They were all still quite in shock. She wasn't even very old, 59 I think. Makes you wonder why it's always the nice people who have to die...

A busy week!
Well... another week has flown by! I've been at work every day this week, so you know what that means - back to doing laundry at night and throwing it in the dryer in the morning! It has been great to be back at work tho! I share an office with 2 other very interesting folks, so it's not boring at all! I'm just hoping that they remember I said only 3 days a week! :)
Want to know what happened on Monday?! Yep! It blizzarded! lol I'm quite sick of winter by now! But we do have piles of snow! And today after work we're going to a friends to build a big snow fort in there 12 foot drift! So can't wait for 5:00 to roll around!!
For the weekend - I'm hoping to sleep in, sew, and clean the house! But I might be working with Kelly on the ambulance, so we'll see what actually gets done!

Surprise!
Friday was not the greatest day for me... {at least not until later} We got to bed very late the night before, never a good sign of things to come! Then Friday morning our neighbor/renter/paramedic friend wanted me to baby-sit his girl for him. Well she's such a dear I couldn't say no! So there was no sleeping in and getting caught up on sleep. Then the rest of the day I just tried to get stuff done around the house, at a very slow pace. I know, I should have just taken a nap and then things would have been sure to go better! Then we got invited to a Tiff Toews' birthday party so things started looking up. Well Kelly comes home around 5 and says we need to run to the city before we go to the party!! So I told him he better get with it and get ready then! Well, would you know he just takes his jolly time and talks on the phone... Yes, I was starting to get a little perturbed! Then he started really acting fishy and I was wondering what was really going on. And about that time Kelly says I should go to the door. So I looked out the window before I went and who was there?!?! Jayme and Jess!!! I was totally shocked! They came in with big hugs and laughs and we quickly started to catch up on the latest! Jayme hasn't been here so we drove around to K-Tec and stuff then came back to Morris for supper at the burger joint and then back here for coffee and a lot more talking! The sad part was that they had to leave at 11 and head back to Fargo. So it was very short but very sweet! :) Loved every second of it! ...they are going to a wedding in Starbuck on Sunday and had flown into Fargo since Jayme's cousins were coming into Fargo by train, thus the reason they had to leave by 11 so they could pick up the cousins.... So ya! The not so good day turned into a real winner!!

Life...
Now isn't that a good thing to remember?! I'm sure going to try, cause my busy life is just about to get a lot more busy! And no! I'm not PG!! :) I'm starting to work 3 days a week at K-Tec again! I'm not totally excited about it, but I'm sure I will be as soon as I get back into it.
When we got back from Florida, we went and house sat for some friends. So this week I've been trying to get our place back into living order! Think I'm almost there, if I can get Kelly to find a place for all his stuff! The rest of the week was booked with sewing at church, Bible study, some baking, working at K-Tec, and sewing for one of my friends. Plus we were busy every evening, but don't ask me with what because I can't remember!! And so.... such is life!

...Orlando
Tuesday – it was rainy and
cool so we decided it was the perfect day for shopping! So that is exactly what
we did (after we finally got around in the morning). In the evening we went to
Arabian Knights for some very good food and a really awesome horse show!
{Thanks Wayne and Tiff for the great birthday present!}
Wednesday – Sea World! It
really doesn’t matter how many times you’ve been to Sea World, it’s always AWESOME! My favorite part is the
dolphin show and Manta roller coaster. And this year the (almost) best part was
when Wayne and Kelly went on the Atlantis ride and Tiff calmly SOAKED them when they came by!! I think
we went for steak in the evening. And by the way it was a beautiful, sunny day!
Thursday – Wayne and Tiff
had never been to Epcot, so off we went! Got in some rides we hadn’t done other
times and wished that I served sushi because of the gorgeous pottery in the
Japan Pavilion! And of course we stayed for the fireworks. Really they can’t be
beat!
Friday – Wayne’s left… So
we said our goodbyes the night before and hope to get together again soon!
Kelly and I slept in. We were planning to spend the rest of the day by the pool
but it was kind cool and cloudy so shopped a little more and then… Joe’s Crab
Shack for supper!! LOVE that place!
For sure since we can’t get really fresh crab up here! And that was the end of
our wonderful time in the Sunshine State!
Saturday – Homeward bound
with our memories!

Florida!
Saturday, February 22
We had spent Friday
night in Grand Forks, so we took our time getting around in the morning.
Stopped for some amazing Pumpkin Bread and White Chocolate Mocha at Starbuck
{was scared I might lose some weight on the trip, LOL!} and then off to the
airport. Whipped through security and boarded almost right away. Then for the 4
hour flight to Orlando! Well we got there just fine and as soon as we were to
the car rental place my shoes and socks came off and the flip flops came on!
Felt SO Awesome! Got the car rented and you will never guess what it was!!!! A Crown
Vic!! So you can imagine that the rest of the week was either highly
entertaining or embarrassing, depending on what kind of situation we were in at
the time! Wayne’s flew into a different airport so they had no idea what we
were coming to pick them up in. Tiff, of course, gasped and Wayne died
laughing! Grabbed some supper and then ‘boated’ on down to Arcadia. We
arrived at Clarrisa’s cute little house with much revving of the engine and
then we were met with shrieks, lots of laughter,
and the wonderful smell of orange blossoms!
We skipped out
morning church since our time with Clarissa was going to be so short… The guys
went and got some fresh orange juice in town. The stuff they call orange juice
in the stores doesn’t even compare! Then we headed out to Sarasota. Stopped at
a bridge just before Sarasota and watched the alligators for a while and then
went to good ol’ Sonny’s for lunch! Then went to Siesta Key and walked along
the beach. I even found 2 Sand Dollars! Next stop was for frozen yogurt! YUM! By
then it was almost time for evening church in Sarasota so did a quick drive by
thro Amishville and went and got ready for church at the little mission church.
Church proved to be very interesting and very full with all of Arcadia there
and lots of neighbors – Amish and all different kinds of Mennonites. And I was
very surprised at how many people I actually knew from there! Went with the
youth for supper and then headed back to Arcadia.
Clarissa had school
so Wayne’s and us got up and went back to Siesta Key. This time to eat Popeye’s
chicken on the beach, lay out, and swim! Was very cloudy at first but it soon
cleared off and was a beautiful day! I really, really wish I was still there!!
Left around 4 and headed back and with every mile it seemed like our skin was
turning a brighter red! We were all very burnt! Cleaned up some and then packed
and said our goodbyes and headed back to Orlando. We all had a very good time
with lots of good belly laughs! There’s nothing quite like your old friends!
More later...
